Director of Volleyball Operations Cody Carmichael

Cody Carmichael was named the Director of Operations for the East Carolina volleyball program in October of 2018. He recently completed his sixth year in the position and his seventh overall with the team, joining the Pirates as a student manager in the fall of 2017.

Carmichael assists the program in its day-to-day operation, including organizing team practices, coordinating team travel and coding during matches via Volleystation software. He also plays a vital role in the running of the Premier Volleyball Camps held each summer inside Minges Coliseum.

The 2018 graduate of East Carolina University helped the Pirates to their fifth 20-win season in program history and first-ever postseason berth in 2023 as ECU hosted the first and second rounds of the National Invitational Volleyball Championship.

Outside of his duties with ECU, Carmichael has contributed time to East Carolina Junior Volleyball Club since 2018. He currently serves as a head coach in the 17 and 18-year-old age groups.
